6 mm Encoder Module - IR Infrared Optical Slit Sensor - Speed Measuring Module

A module with a very wide range of applications. In conjunction with the encoder disc it is possible to use, for example, when calculating the rotational speed of motors, counting pulses, etc. The slotted sensor, i.e. the slotted optocoupler, sends a signal depending on whether the aperture is covered or not.

The slot type photoelectric sensor is composed of an infrared light emitting diode and an NPN phototransistor with a groove width of 5.9 mm.

As long as the non-transparent object passes through the slot, low level is set on module output.
