The VIAVI Visual Fault Locator (VFL, red light source) is an indispensable tool for quickly and easily locating faults in fiber optic cables. By displaying the exact location of the damage, technicians can efficiently identify and correct the issue. The FFL-050 is designed for an easy and portable use. It features a 2.5-mm interface and is compatible with connectors such as SC, ST and FC, whereas the included 1.25-mm adapter allows connection to LC and MU connectors. The VFL emits a bright red laser beam (Class II), making the light emerging from the damaged fiber easily visible from a distance. The control button allows the operator to choose between continuous and flashing illumination.
