M5StickC DAC 2 HAT (GP8413)

The DAC2 HAT is a digital-to-analogue conversion unit utilising an I2C interface, specifically designed for compatibility with the StickC series controllers. It features the GP8413 solution for high precision and accuracy, capable of linearly converting a 15-bit digital value into two independent analogue voltages of 0-5V or 0-10V. The unit achieves an output voltage error of only 0.2% and a linearity of up to 0.01%. To enhance scalability, the unit's circuit design includes a 3-bit hardware address that allows the connection and simultaneous operation of up to eight devices. The hat also has safety features such as output short-circuit protection, which automatically activates a protective mode and shuts down the output in the event of a short circuit between the output pins and the ground, thereby preventing damage.
