The WS2812B is an LED that is capable of emitting light in red, green or blue, or any combination of these three colors, allowing a total of approximately 16 million different colors to be displayed. These LEDs are arranged on a board in a row of 10 diodes. You can even connect several of these strips together. Control is via a single pin using a few lines of program from the Arduino IDE, made possible by the integrated controller within the LED itself.
