Note We have newly released an upgraded version of this thermal imaging camera with MLX90641 IR array and 110° FOV. Click here to learn more! Key Features IR Thermal Sensor Array 32X24(MLX90640) 110°x75° FOV(field of view) Temperature measurement range:-40℃~300℃ I2C Grove interface Description Looking for a thermal sensor that can detect your surround temperature? This IR thermal camera can not only measure the value of temperature around you but also display the thermal imaging figure. So it must be your best choice to monitor the temperature change from this tiny camera. The IR thermal camera carries a 32x24 array of thermal sensors (MLX90640), it can detect the temperature of objects from feet away with the accuracy of ±1.5℃. In order to obtain the thermal image easily, the I2C protocol is used to get the low-resolution image from the camera. The FOV(Field of View) of this camera is 110°x75°, and the temperature measurement range is -40℃~300℃. This module connects the MCU with the I2C interface. However, it needs an MCU that has over 20000 bytes of RAM to drive the camera. As a matter of fact, Dev board like Arduino Uno can not be used with this Sensor camera due to its lower ability of calculation. We recommend you to choose Arch Mix as an MCU to control the camera because it really has a good performance to process the complex data from the IR sensor camera. Note This thermal imaging sensor is also compatible with many Arduino boards and Seeeduino boards which are assembled with SAMD21/SAMD51 like Seeeduino Lotus Cortex - M0. And it also supports all series of Raspberry Pi including Raspberry Pi Zero. Considering your convenience of using this camera, we have figured out all the libraries like Arduino Library and Python commend in our wiki page, so you can run up this IR camera module easily for just a few minutes. One More Thing With the SenseCAP S2110 controller and S2100 data logger, you can easily turn the Grove into a LoRaWAN® sensor. Seeed not only helps you with prototyping but also offers you the possibility to expand your project with the SenseCAP series of robust industrial sensors. The IP66 housing, Bluetooth configuration, compatibility with the global LoRaWAN® network, built-in 19 Ah battery, and powerful support from APP make the SenseCAP S210x the best choice for industrial applications. The series includes sensors for soil moisture, air temperature and humidity, light intensity, CO2, EC, and an 8-in-1 weather station. Try the latest SenseCAP S210x for your next successful industrial project.
