This USB to UART cable assembly is the simple way to access a Raspberry Pi from a laptop or computer, without having to use a screen, keyboard, mouse, network configuration, etc. With this single cable you can directly connect to the serial console of your pi as well as powering it. Essential for where USB ports/ethernet sockets are limited or missing.

Windows and Mac drivers are available. Install them just plug in the cable and fire up a terminal emulator program. We recommend PuTTY for Windows, it's free and easy to use.
