8 x 8 Dot LED Matrix Display Control Module MAX7219

LED dot matrix display modules featuring a 8 x 8 red LED configuration, controlled by a MAX7219 chip.

* MAX7219 chip * Operating voltage: 5V * Comes with jumper leads * Multiple displays can be daisy chained together * Dimensions: 5 x 3.2 x 1.5cm (L x W x H) These are LED dot matrix displays with 8x8 x 4 = 32x8 red 3mm LEDs. These panels basically consist of four internally connected 8x8 matrix displays, each controlled by its own MAX7219 chip. The MAX7219 are cascadable, which means you can also connect the output of one display to the input of a second display to create a 64x8 display. Only three wires (DIN, CS & CLK) plus a power supply of 5VDC are needed to drive one or two of daisychained dot matrix displays.
