SparkFun Spectral Sensor Breakout - AS7262 Visible (Qwiic)

The SparkFun AS7262 Visible Spectral Sensor Breakout is a compact and powerful tool that brings spectroscopy right to your fingertips. It is equipped to measure and characterize how various materials absorb and reflect different wavelengths of light. What sets the AS7262 Breakout apart is its ability to communicate via both an I2C interface and serial interface using AT commands. With Qwiic connectors included on the board, setup is a breeze - just plug in the Qwiic cable into the breakout and the other end into one of the Qwiic Shields, and stack the board on a development board. This allows you to start taking spectroscopy measurements in no time.The AS7262 spectrometer is designed to detect wavelengths in the visible spectrum at 450, 500, 550, 570, 600 and 650nm of light, each with 40nm of full-width half-max detection. To ensure accurate spectroscopy readings, the board offers multiple ways to illuminate the objects you intend to measure. It comes with an onboard LED specifically chosen for this task, and also includes two pins where you can solder your own LED.Please note that the I2C address of the AS7262 is 0x49 and is hardware defined. If you need to communicate with multiple AS7262 sensors on a single bus, a multiplexer/Mux will be required. If you plan to use more than one AS7262 sensor, consider using a Qwiic Mux Breakout.The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is a comprehensive ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields and cables designed to make prototyping faster and less prone to error. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector, which not only reduces the amount of required PCB space, but also ensures polarized connections, so you can't hook it up wrong.Key Features:
