The SparkFun FS3000-1005 Air Velocity Sensor Breakout is a versatile tool that can help monitor airflow in data centers, around servers, or within HVAC and air control systems. Equipped with a Qwiic connection system, this sensor is designed for quick and easy setup. The sensor is built around Renesas' FS3000-1005, a surface-mount air velocity module that can measure air speeds ranging from 0 to 7.2m/s. It uses a MEMS thermopile-based sensor with a digital output and 12-bit resolution. To ensure its durability and longevity, the sensor is equipped with solid thermal isolation technology and a silicon carbide coating, which protects it from abrasive wear and water condensation. To make the setup process even more straightforward, SparkFun has developed an Arduino library for the sensor. This library can be downloaded through the Arduino library manager by searching 'SparkFun Air Velocity' or from the GitHub repository. As part of the SparkFun Qwiic Connect System, this sensor is compatible with a range of I2C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables. This ecosystem is designed to streamline prototyping and minimize errors. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector, which saves PCB space and prevents incorrect connections thanks to its polarized design.Features:
