SparkFun Micro Temperature Sensor - STTS22H (Qwiic)

The SparkFun STTS22H Micro Temperature Sensor is an ultra-compact, Qwiic-enabled breakout board. It features the STTS22H digital temperature sensor from ST Microelectronics, known for its ultra-low power consumption and high precision. The sensor is factory-calibrated and offers high accuracy performance over the entire operating temperature range, reaching as low as ±0.5°C, eliminating the need for further calibration at the application level. The SparkFun STTS22H Micro Temperature Sensor is user-configurable, allowing users to select between various operating modes, including different Output Data Rates (ODRs) down to 1Hz and a one-shot mode for battery saving. This mode reduces the sensor's current consumption to 1.75µA. The sensor also allows two different addresses to be specified by manipulating the jumper on the back of the breakout. An interrupt pin is also available to alert the user whenever the user-selectable high or low threshold has been exceeded.Connecting the SparkFun STTS22H Micro Temperature Sensor is easy, thanks to the Qwiic Connect System. The breakout board comes with built-in 2.2kΩ pullup resistors for I2C communications. However, if you're connecting multiple I2C devices on the same bus, you may want to disable these resistors.The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables designed to make prototyping faster and less prone to error. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector, reducing the required PCB space. The polarized connections also ensure that you can't connect it incorrectly.Features of the SparkFun STTS22H Micro Temperature Sensor include: I2C interface (Qwiic-enabled), two selectable addresses (0x3C - default, 0x38), operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, temperature accuracy (max) of ± 0.5 °C (-10 °C to +60 °C), operating voltage of 1.5V to 3.6V, ultra-low current of 1.75 µA in one-shot mode, programmable thresholds with interrupt pin, programmable operating modes (Freerun, one-shot, and Low-ODR), NIST traceability, and a Qwiic Micro Form Factor.
