The FGM-X series offers highly sensitive magnetic field sensors operating within a ±50 microtesla range (±0.5 oersted). These devices feature a simple three-terminal design, utilizing a single +5 volt supply with connections for ground, +5V, and output. The output is a robust 5-volt rectangular pulse, with a period directly proportional to the field strength, making it straightforward to interface with computers or microcontrollers. The period swing for the FGM-3 ranges from 8.5 microseconds to 25 microseconds (approximately 120 kHz to 50 kHz), showcasing its high sensitivity.Unlike Hall Effect sensors, which struggle with large temperature sensitivity in this range, the FGM-series boasts a very low-temperature coefficient. With a lowest effective Nyquist sampling rate of approximately 50 kHz, appropriate filtering can deliver an AC field bandwidth from DC to around 20 kHz.Features:
