PFERD TOOLS offers a wide range of abrasive-on-backing tools for machining various workpiece geometries and materials. They consist of a backing material, a base bond, and a top bond to secure the abrasive grains. Depending on the grit size, tools made of abrasive on a backing can achieve either high material removal rates or a very fine surface finish. The available backing materials differ in properties such as tear resistance, flexibility, and wear resistance. By selecting the appropriate backing, the abrasive tool is tailored to the requirements of the intended application: Paper is commonly used in the woodworking industry and in the trades, e.g., by carpenters, painters, and finishers; cloth is primarily used in metalworking and, in various thicknesses, is mainly used for the manufacture of fiber sanding discs. The set contains 20 hook-and-loop discs of the Corundum A type in various grit sizes for coarse grinding in industrial and trade applications. Hook-and-loop discs are suitable for grinding larger surfaces. Thanks to the flexible system consisting of the hook-and-loop disc and the hook-and-loop disc holder, they can also be used on contoured surfaces. With the hook-and-loop disc holder, hook-and-loop discs can be used on standard speed-adjustable or low-speed angle grinders with an M14 mount. Technical Data:
