The MOC303XM and MOC304XM devices consist of a GaAs infrared emission diode that is optically coupled to a monolithic silicon detector that performs the function of a two-sided triac driver with zero-crossing voltage. They are intended for use with a triac in the interface of logic systems to devices powered by 115 V AC lines, such as teletypes, CRTs, semiconductor relays, industrial controls, printers, motors, solenoid valves and consumption devices etc.
