Adafruit Step Switch with LED - Three Pack of Yellow with Red LED

These hinged momentary step switches capture the essence of the iconic 16-step sequencer keys on TR-808 synthesizers. Widely used in A/V equipment, they offer a satisfying tactile experience with a crisp click. The integrated red LED provides clear visual feedback, indicating the switch's status effectively.Each switch comes with four legs for enhanced stability and features a momentary SPDT configuration. Two pins act as the common, automatically connecting to one of the other pins when pressed. To ascertain pin roles, consult the provided diagram or use a multimeter in continuity mode. Note: These switches require hand-wiring or PCB integration, as they are not compatible with breadboard or perf-board setups.The embedded LED is a 3mm, max 20mA, 2.1V forward-voltage red LED. Using a 1K resistor, as recommended in our LED guide, helps prevent burnout and allows for PWM dimming via a microcontroller pin or digital output connections.
