Time domain reflectometer - TDR-420 Troubleshooting using the TDR-420 The Sonel TDR-420 reflectometer is a practical digital time domain reflectometer (TDR) designed to identify and locate damage to cables, electricity, telecommunications and remote technology. The Sonel TDR-420 reflectometer can measure the length of the cable and determine the distance to any damage or changes in impedance in a range of between 4 and 6000 m in wires with metal cores. The shortest measuring range, with a range of 7 metres and a dead zone of 0.6 metres, allows damage to be located in the immediate vicinity of the point where the device is connected.
