The M5Stack AI Pyramid-Pro is a pyramid-shaped edge AI computer designed for local inference and high-performance embedded applications, offering increased memory and expanded I/O compared to the standard version. It’s built around the Axera AX8850 SoC, combining an octa-core Cortex-A55 processor with a 24 TOPS (INT8) NPU. This provides the performance needed for demanding workloads such as computer vision, multimodal interaction, and on-device large language model inference. With 8GB of LPDDR4x memory, it can handle larger models and more complex processing tasks than lower-memory variants. A dedicated hardware video engine supports 8K H.264/H.265 encoding and decoding, along with up to 16-channel 1080p video decoding, making it suitable for video analytics, multi-stream processing, and AI vision applications. Connectivity is designed for flexibility. The system includes dual HDMI 2.0 interfaces (one input and one output), allowing both display output and video input use cases. It also features dual Gigabit Ethernet ports for networking, plus USB 3.0 and USB Type-C for peripherals and expansion. As a compact, desktop-style AI platform, the AI Pyramid-Pro is well suited to edge deployments where local processing is required, such as AI vision gateways, intelligent security systems, and self-hosted AI services like local photo analysis. * Power Requirement - This device requires a PD adapter with a minimum output of DC 9V@3A (27W). The unit will not power on with a DC 5V supply.

* Memory Allocation - Memory partitioning between the AI Pyramid‑Pro system and hardware acceleration resources is defined below:

* 8GB variant (4GB + 4GB): 4GB allocated to system memory; 4GB reserved for hardware acceleration tasks including NPU compute and video encode/decode.

* This partitioning scheme ensures stable system operation while reserving dedicated memory for AI inference and multimedia processing.

* I2C Bus Notice -Avoid accessing the RTC chip during microphone recording, as this may cause unstable behaviour on the SYSI2C bus.

* RTC Clock Notice - After external power loss, the onboard RTC clock module retains timekeeping for up to approximately 20 hours.
