The SupTronics X1209 is a dedicated uninterruptible power supply board designed to keep your Raspberry Pi running during power interruptions or adapter failures. It connects directly to the Pi's 40-pin GPIO header, delivering up to 5.1V at 6000mA without requiring cables or soldering. This makes it suitable for standard Pi setups as well as configurations running demanding applications or multiple peripherals. The board uses an integrated power MOSFET with just 7mΩ resistance to minimise energy loss during operation. Power input accepts voltages from 6V to 18V through a standard 5.5x2.1mm jack, and it can draw up to 6A from the adapter. This allows the system to charge the battery while simultaneously powering the Pi at full speed, even during the fastest charging mode. Battery management on the X1209 handles the heavy lifting automatically. The board charges compatible battery packs at 2100mA and includes Maxim's fuel-gauge circuitry to monitor battery voltage and remaining capacity over i2c. Four on-board LEDs show charging status at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% levels. The board also includes reverse-polarity protection and prevents battery overcharging or overcurrent conditions. Power switching between the adapter and backup battery happens transparently, so your Pi continues running without interruption during an outage. When the adapter returns, the system automatically restores charging. If battery voltage drops too low, the board can trigger a safe shutdown sequence via GPIO (the threshold is programmable). Once power returns, auto power-on resumes normal operation. The advanced power management system cuts power completely after the Pi shuts down, reducing standby consumption to preserve battery life for extended periods without an adapter. An on-board LED indicates whether the Pi is detected and running. The board can also monitor for AC power loss or adapter failures through GPIO pins, and it includes a physical power button that mimics the Raspberry Pi 5's shutdown behaviour. The X1209 works with Raspberry Pi 5, Pi 4, and Pi 3 Model B boards. Please note: Raspberry Pi not included. Features Compatible With

* The default charging current is set to 2.1A and charge cut-off voltage is 4.23V. before connecting your battery to the UPS board, Please carefully confirm the maximum charging current and voltage, exceeding the upper limit of the charging specification that the battery can withstand will not only cause adverse reactions, but may also cause irreversible damage.
* It is essential to read and understand these safety instructions and warnings before charging your batteries.
* Lithium Polymer and Li-ion batteries are volatile. Failure to read and follow the instructions below may result in fire, personal injury, and damage to property if charged or used improperly.
* Never make a wrong polarity connection when charging or discharging battery packs. Always double-check the polarity of the battery's connector to ensure that "+" is connected to "+" and "-" is connected to "-".
* Do not mix and use old batteries with new batteries, or batteries with different brand names.
* Lithium batteries have a limited cycle life. Please replace old batteries with new ones when they reach their service life or when they are two years old, whichever comes first.
* When charging the Battery Pack, please place the battery in a fireproof container. Do not leave the UPS shield on wood material or carpet unattended.
* Keep the UPS shield away from children to ensure their safety.
