The Homematic IP Wall Thermostat with Humidity Sensor is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and allows you to directly control multiple Homematic IP radiator thermostats in a single room. It can also be used to control Homematic IP underfloor heating controllers. Thanks to wireless communication, the wall thermostat and underfloor heating controllers can be linked together without the need to run cables. Using a Homematic IP underfloor heating controller thus offers significantly less installation effort compared to conventional underfloor heating controls, while also providing the benefits of intelligent room-by-room heating control.

The wall thermostat, which is about the size of a light switch, can be operated very intuitively using a rotary knob. The temperature, which can be adjusted in 0.5 °C increments, can thus be set very precisely and then automatically transmitted to the Homematic IP radiator thermostats or underfloor heating controllers. If electric heaters are used, they can be controlled via the Homematic IP smart outlet. The integrated, backlit display shows not only the setpoint and current temperatures but also the humidity level measured by the built-in sensor. When “Boost Mode" is activated by briefly pressing the rotary knob, all radiator valves open to 80% for a period of 300 seconds, allowing the room to heat up quickly. The wall-mounted thermostat’s display shows the countdown until the rapid heating program ends. In addition, the wall thermostat supports custom temperature schedules with up to 13 changes per day across 3 or 6 configurable heating profiles (3x heating/3x cooling).

Installing the Homematic IP wall thermostat is easy. Thanks to its power supply via two AAA batteries and wireless communication, the wall thermostat can be placed anywhere in the room. Suitable screws and anchors, as well as a set of double-sided adhesive tape, are included for this purpose. If the wall thermostat is to be mounted on an existing flush-mounted box, the mounting frame features the appropriate mounting holes. Integration into multi-frame systems from other manufacturers is also possible.
