Thermocouple connectors are particularly useful when thermocouples are required to measure and test temperatures, where the portability of the measuring instrument and sensor plays an important role. All contacts are made from thermocouple material, which helps to reduce the possibility of measuring errors due to fluctuations in the ambient temperature. This means that no new thermal voltages are formed at the connection points between the sensor, extension cables and measuring instrument, which may lead to the distortion of measurement results.
