BMx7318 Evaluation Board for All-in-One BMS Solution

The EVBMA7318AIO provides a solution for both centralized and distributed lithium‑ion battery management system (BMS) in automotive and energy storage system (ESS) applications. The board integrates two BMA7318 devices controlled by a single microcontroller (MCU). Each BMA7318 can measure lithium‑ion batteries with four to 18 cells. The first BMA7318 communicates with the MCU via isolated Serial Peripheral Interface (ISO‑SPI) and connects to the second BMA7318 through TPL with transformer isolation. Off‑board TPL communication also uses transformer isolation. The MCU is powered by a System Basis Chip (SBC) supplied from a 12 V DC source.
