The Tamiya 72004 Worm Gearbox Kit features a worm gear system that locks the output shaft when the motor is not active, offering high gear ratios of 216:1 or 336:1. This makes it ideal for applications requiring high torque, such as small walking robots and lifting mechanisms.Perfect for low-voltage operations, the motors in this gearbox run on 1.5 to 4.5 volts and can handle currents up to a few amps. This makes them well-suited for pairing with motor driver carriers like the DRV8833. To prevent overheating due to stalling, it's advisable to use stall-detection sensors or monitor the robot to avoid prolonged stalls.The gearbox includes a 4 mm diameter round output shaft compatible with specific wheels designed for Tamiya 4 mm round shafts.
