Unitree G1 PLUS - Humanoid Robots for Research, Development, and Interaction

The Unitree G1 PLUS combines a compact humanoid design with redesigned actuators, enhanced perception, and new interaction capabilities. A movable head with two degrees of freedom, a dual-camera system, and tactile sensors in the head expand the platform’s capabilities for demonstrations, human-robot interaction, and sophisticated development tasks.

With a standing height of approximately 1.34 m and a weight starting at around 35 kg, including the battery, the G1 PLUS offers a space-saving platform for robotics labs, universities, and technology presentations. The base model features 25 degrees of freedom. Depending on the EDU configuration level and arm configuration, up to 71 degrees of freedom are available.

The redesigned shoulder, hip, and arm drives offer higher peak torques compared to the previous G1 model and reduced heat generation at the same torque level. Industrial cross-roller bearings, low-inertia internal-rotor PMSM motors, dual encoders, and fully internal cable routing complement the mechanical platform.

A binocular camera in the head, a wide-angle camera in the chest, and a 3D LiDAR support environmental perception. The movable neck allows for precise head alignment. A six-microphone array with directional sound localization, two 10-W speakers, and tactile head sensors open up additional possibilities for acoustic and touch-based interactions.

The model family ranges from the G1 PLUS, designed for operation with factory-set functions, through the development-ready EDU Standard and EDU Plus versions, to the Professional and Ultimate variants with various grippers and dexterous hands. The quick-change 9,000-mAh battery provides approximately two hours of runtime. An external power supply supports longer operating times as well as charging during operation.
