The NH-C14S, which is the versatile test winner NH-C14, is an extremely efficient, highly compatible and extremely versatile top-flow cooler in the elite class. Thanks to the deeper cooling fins and the renowned NF-A14 PWM fan, the NH-C14S with only one fan achieves a similar silent cooling performance as its predecessor with two fans, but is still more flexible: If the fan is mounted above the cooling fins, the cooler offers space for memory modules up to 65mm height. If the fan is mounted under the cooling fins, the total height of the cooler is reduced to 115mm, so that the NH-C14S can also be fitted in many HTPC cases. The new, slightly offset design also ensures that the cooler on most µATX and ATX mainboards does not hang over the top PCIe slot. C-shaped horizontal construction Due to its C-shaped top-flow design, the NH-C14S not only offers excellent silent cooling performance at a significantly lower height compared to 140mm tower coolers, but also more airflow via memory modules and board components close to the base.

Low-Profile Mode If the NF-A14 fan is mounted below the cooling fins, the overall height is only 115mm. This makes the NH-C14S significantly lower than a tower cooler with 120 or even 140mm fans and is ideal for use in compact housings or in the HTPC area.

High-Clearance Mode If the NF-A14 is mounted on top, the NH-C14S provides sufficient clearance below the cooling fins for large chipset coolers or memory modules with heat sinks of up to 70mm height.

Offset construction for better PCIe compatibility Compared to the predecessor model NH-C14, the heat sink of the NH-C14S was slightly offset in two axles. Thanks to this measure, the cooler on most µATX and ATX mainboards does not hang over the top PCIe slot when installed with the bends of the heatpipes in the direction of the PCIe slots or in the direction of the I/O panel.

NF-A14 140mm Premium fan The NF-A14 has advanced aerodynamic enhancements such as Flow Acceleration Channels and is considered one of the best silent 140mm fans on the market. In combination with the deeper cooling fins, it makes it possible for the NH-C14S to achieve a comparable level of performance with only one fan as the predecessor with two fans.

PWM support and low-noise adapter The NF-A14 140mm fan of the NH-C14S supports PWM for convenient, fully automatic speed control via the mainboard. In addition, the included low-noise adapter can reduce the maximum speed from 1500 to 1200rpm to allow even quieter operation.

SecuFirm2™ mounting system Noctuas SecuFirm2™ mounting systems have become synonymous with quality, reliability and ease of use. The NH-C14S SecuFirm2™ system supports Intel LGA115x (LGA1150, LGA1151, LGA1155, LGA1156), LGA2011 (LGA2011-0, LGA2011-3) and AMD (AM3(+), AM2(+), FM1, FM2(+))) and offers perfect contact pressure and maximum mounting comfort on all current bases.

Compatibility with older and future sockets The NH-C14S complies with the open SecuFirm™ standard and can be made compatible with the optional NM-I3 mounting kit available free of charge from Noctua to the older sockets LGA1366 and LGA775. As far as technically possible, Noctua will also offer upgrade sets for future sockets.
