Brief description: The bipolar isolating amplifier is used to collect bipolar analogue signals (e.g. ± 10 V or ± 20 mA) and convert them into bipolar, analogue standard signals. The converted signals are transmitted to the output potential-free with a high level of precision, and are available there in amplified and galvanically isolated form. Furthermore, unipolar signals (e.g. 0 ... 20 mA or 0 ... 10 V) and live zero signals (e.g. 4 ... 20 mA or 2 ... 10 V) can also be adjusted on the input side and the output side independently of each other via DIP switches. The limit frequency is also adjusted via DIP switches. The device has zero-span potentiometers for the front-side adjustment of the section of measurements, whereby the signals are switched in a calibrated form, so that no further adjustment is necessary following a change of range. The supply voltage for the device, which can be bridged quickly and cost-effectively via side push-in type jumper bars, is 24 V DC. A green LED on the front of the device signals that it is in operation. The bipolar isolating amplifier meets the requirements of safe isolation as per EN 61140 with a test voltage of 2.5 kV between input/output/supply.
