ROBOTIS is a well-known manufacturer of robotics development platforms and components. The company also manufactures servo motors with industrial quality and interfaces under the name DYNAMIXEL. The AX-12A servo motors are equipped with an integrated reduction ratio of 254:1, a controller with feedback and driver. In combination with the Half Duplex Interface, the servos can be controlled very precisely and also provide the control unit with feedback on the current position at any time. The maximum resolution (position accuracy) is 1024 divisions. The fact that each servo can be assigned a unique ID enables the servos to be connected in series (as shown below) and cabling is reduced to a minimum.
