The Robotis OpenCM 485 Expansion Board was developed for controlling Dynamixel servo motors. Available as an option, the powerful OpenCM9.04-A/OpenCM9.04-C development board, based on an ARM Cortex-M3 MCU, can handle demanding tasks with ease. However, OpenCM 485 and OpenCM9.04 have very small dimensions even when used together, so automation processes can be developed or redesigned in an even smarter way.

Control options

Many of the Dynamixel controller boards currently on the market have either a TTL interface for connecting the popular AX/MX series or RS485 for the more expensive Dynamixel Pro servo motors. The OpenCM9.04 development board, however, features both of these interfaces for better flexibility.
