The LevelOne GSW-0807 is a high-performance 10/100/1000 MBps Gigabit Ethernet switch with 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports. It provides a flexible network architecture where users can use a Gigabit LAN without bandwidth limitations.

The GSW-0807 is ideal for micro-segments in larger networks in order to achieve a better performance in smaller subnets for high-bandwidth applications such as multimedia or video applications. It is 1000Base-T compatible and supports automatic full and half duplex detection. Also supports MDI/MDI-X crossover and IEEE 802.3x Flow Control.

The switch uses store-and-forward switching for error-free data packet transmission. It features 9 Kb jumbo frames for improved network performance. The GSW-0807 Gigabit Switch is a plug-and-play device that requires no software or configuration.

The GSW-0807 is housed in a compact, fanless housing for easy use on the desktop or in environments with limited space. In addition, a wall bracket for wall mounting the switch is included.

Active Link Detection (activity detection): A Green LevelOne device detects on which ports an active client is connected. If an 8-port switch only has 6 active devices, then the 2 remaining ports will be disabled. This saves energy, because no data is sent to the 2 inactive ports.

Cable Length Detection: The switch detects the length of the connected patch cable and adapts its performance: If a LevelOne Green Switch and a computer with a 10-metre long cable are connected, then less power is consumed than with a 100-metre cable. Less cable means lower power requirements.

Sleep Mode: The LevelOne Green Switch switches to sleep mode/standby mode when the connected devices are shut down and no active connections are detected. This reduces energy consumption during periods of inactivity.
