Until now, the length was enough for your device, but after the furniture has been changed, the existing cable is no longer enough. They are missing the "last meter". Instead of replacing the entire patch cord, simply plug in a patch cord extension of the length you need to reach your end device.

Protect your device: For example, protect the socket of your notebook by using this patch cord extension. If the patch cable is plugged in and out frequently, it is not the socket of your notebook that is used, but the socket of the extension. This eliminates the need for a potentially costly repair of your notebook.

Properties: This RJ45 patch cord extension can be used with all conventional devices with RJ45 interface, such as, computer, notebook, DSL modem, Router, switch, game console, TV and more. The patch cable is double shielded with an additional shielding of the wire pairs. Thus it is 10-Gigabits capable, suitable for your fast DSL connection. The patch cord is of course backwards compatible with old devices and installations of categories Cat.5, Cat.5e and Cat. 6. RJ45 Plug with RNS®: The RJ45 plug has a snap-in protection (RNS®). This prevents the locking tab on the top of the connector from kinking away. The wire pairs consist of 99,99% oxygen-free copper (OFC). This allows an increased signal transmission of the cable.
