The new ST-80 lithium-ion battery soldering iron uses the advantages of modern battery technology, making this soldering iron a constant companion, if you are on the move without a mains supply, wherever soldering is needed. The soldering iron is designed for soldering in the electronics, electrical engineering or precision engineering sector. Ideal for service technicians, but also for many applications, e.g. in the automotive sector, model building or in the DIY sector.

The ST-80 stands out due to its fast start and short warm-up time. What distinguishes it clearly from the previously available battery soldering devices, in particular, is the long working time. Using the enclosed mains charger, the ST-80 can be quickly recharged, lithium-ion technology is also very tolerant of not being quite fully loaded, should things need to go especially quickly once in a while. An LED on the charger indicates the charging status of the ST-80.

Using a special adapter cable, the ST-80 can be charged via a USB interface (PC) or an external power pack. Thus you attain increased mobility, independent of a network connection, batteries or other special auxiliary materials - as is the case with gas soldering irons for example. The ST- 80 is equipped with an inserted soldering tip. This means that, if needed, the tip can be quickly replaced by a new tip or a tip with a different shape. The soldering iron heats only as long as the On/Off switch is pressed. This increases safety, on the one hand, as the device automatically turns off. On the other hand, unnecessary heating is avoided, which increases the working time and the service life of the soldering tip. Even so, the very short warm-up time allows you to work quickly.
