The Intellinet Media Converter integrates fiber optic cables into an existing copper cable network for a low cost and labor upgrade to a LAN. It works transparently - the performance and functionality remain unchanged, and the network is only extended to support both copper and fiber-optic media.

Greater Range Fiber optic support allows remote workgroups to be integrated into your network. Building-to-building connections are thus possible without additional access points.

Many benefits with WDM technology The wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology in this converter model uses only one fiber for data transmission and reception at separate wavelengths. This allows you to use cheaper simplex cables instead of duplex cables, thus saving installation costs.

Flexibility in cabling Due to its compact design, this converter can be used in desktop applications with limited space as well as in wall distribution boards. Several converters can also be installed in an Intellinet 19" media converter housing.
