The GPT-9600 series features cost-effective safety testers (hi-pot testers) that allow routine tests to be carried out in compliance with the most important safety standards such as IEC, EN, UL, CSA, GB, JIS and other safety-related provisions.

The devices are built on a platform with a maximum power output of 100 VA AC. The GPT-9602 can also perform AC/DC dielectric strength tests. The measuring instrument is also equipped with a highly efficient PWM amplifier, which serves as the core of the platform design with a view to avoiding the effects of AC input voltage and guaranteeing stable output voltage.

Other features and functions include the zero crossing switch-on process, which protects the EUT from the effects of a surge voltage output, and the lock function, which protects the user against a hazardous shock from inadvertent contact with the voltage output. Maximum convenience is also provided by a remote output terminal and a signal I/O port.
