XS505M Switch, 5-Port, 10 Gigabit Ethernet

The XS505M and XS508M are equipped with copper Ethernet ports that provide either Fast Ethernet, 1 Gigabit, 2.5 Gigabit, 5 Gigabit, or 10 Gigabit connectivity. There is also an SFP+ fiber port with 1-Gigabit or 10-Gigabit connectivity.

Each port automatically detects the speed required by the connected device and provides the appropriate speed. Unlike regular 10-gigabit switches, which provide only 1-gigabit connectivity for any device that requires less than 10 Gigabit, the XS505M delivers exactly the speed you need, without downgrading. The new NETGEAR Multi-speed Switch ports can also be connected to regular Cat.5e Ethernet cables without upgrading the existing cables to Cat6. This avoids costs and expenses for new cabling.
