0.1A Positive Voltage Regulator ICs

Description The L78L series of three-pole positive regulators have internal current limitation and thermal shutdown, making them essentially indestructible. If a suitable heat sink is provided, they can provide an output current of up to 100 mA. They are intended as fixed voltage regulators for a variety of applications, including local or on-card control to eliminate noise and distribution problems associated with single-point control. In addition, they can be used with power-pass elements to produce high-current voltage regulators. The L78L series, which is used as a replacement for zener diodes/resistor combinations, offers an improvement along with lower quiescent current and lower noise.
