The KIDDE CO detector X10 offers a service life of 10 years. There is a risk of CO poisoning in households where devices are powered using wood, coal, oil or gas. For example, if heating equipment is defective or inadequately maintained, if a smoke vent is blocked or if rooms are not adequately ventilated, then CO may build up in the air in the room. The air then becomes dangerous, and even life-threatening. Carbon monoxide is particularly treacherous because you cannot see, smell or taste this dangerous gas.

CO detectors from KIDDE indicate a carbon monoxide emission by means of a loud alarm signal. The alarm signal is emitted in a time-dependent manner according to the measured concentration of CO in the ambient air (in accordance with EN50291). This functionality provides a timely warning of CO concentrations that can lead to a loss of consciousness and death in only a short space of time. An additional level of safety is provided by the X10-D model, which uses a digital display to show concentrations of CO in the ambient air from 30 ppm. A peak value memory ensures that any release of CO is reliably displayed even after a long absence.
