The GPT-9800 series of cost-effective safety testers (hipot testers) meets a wide range of standards such as IEC, EN, UL, CSA, GB and JIS, as well as other safety-related requirements for safety tests of electronic products and components.

These devices are built on a platform with a maximum power output of 200 VA AC. The GPT-9804 is also capable of performing AC/DC dielectric strength tests, as well as insulation and earthing measurements. The devices are also equipped with a highly efficient PWM amplifier that forms the core of the platform design to prevent the influence of the AC input voltage and ensure a stable output voltage.

Additional functions and features include: idle detection for earth tests to reliably obtain the correct measurement result. 100 memory locations to store control panel settings and retrieve them individually or one after the other for automatic tests. A remote output and a signal I/O connection for starting and stopping the safety tester remotely. RS-232C, USB and GPIB interfaces (optional) for PC remote control and logging test results complete the range of functions.
