This Raspberry Pi CO2 sensor breakout board allows precise measurement of instantaneous CO2 concentration in ambient air, as well as temperature and barometric pressure.
The CO2 sensor board has an important advantage over many competing products in that it is highly stable over time and factory calibrated. Unlike many other products, the sensor does not need to be recalibrated daily with fresh air! This simplifies the installation and maintenance of this CO2 sensor board. The CO2 measurement is based on the NDIR dual-beam method, which compensates for aging effects with its auto-calibration, is very insensitive to contamination and offers excellent long-term stability. The factory calibration ensures highly accurate CO2 measurements over the entire application range. The CO2 measurement is temperature and pressure compensated.
The sensor is mounted on an easy to use I2C breakout board with special attention to compatibility to all common Raspberry Pis. In addition, the breakout board is plugged away from the Raspberry board, so that a possibly increased CPU temperature can not falsify the ambient temperature measurement.
The use with breadboards is especially convenient for you thanks to zero-solder technology: By slightly offsetting the pins of the unpopulated header (X1), the enclosed header can simply be plugged in and clamps - so our gas sensor breakout board can be plugged directly onto breadboards without soldering! Of course, the header can also be soldered to achieve higher mechanical stability.
Two Grove-compatible I2C interface connectors complete the breakout board and allow easy connection to other platforms, e.g. Arduino (3V3!), and some ESP32 boards.
