FUSB3307 is a highly integrated USB Power Delivery (PD) power source controller that can control a DC-DC port current regulator or the optocoupler on the secondary side of an AC-DC adapter. It implements the source finite state machines of USB Power Delivery 3.0 (PD3.0) and Type-C™, which include programmable power supplies (PPS). To meet the PPS specification, FUSB3307 supports output voltage control of a minimum of 3.3 V and a maximum of 21 V. The device includes constant voltage (CV) and constant current limit (CL) control blocks. The references are supported by internal D/A converters. The FUSB3307 supports several protection functions: Undervoltage Protection (UVP), Overvoltage Protection (OVP), Overcurrent Protection (OCP), CC1 and CC2 Overvoltage Protection (CCOVP), VCONN Overcurrent Protection (VCONNOCP), and Internal and External Overtemperature Protection (ITOP and EOTP). A 10-bit A/D converter can be used to monitor output voltage, output current, IC internal temperature, and external temperature via an NTC resistor. The FUSB3307 is capable of driving single or series connected n-channel MOSFETs as load switches, resulting in a lower cost and simpler design.
