EVALMASTERGAN1 Demonstration board for MASTERGAN1, 650 V GaN HEMTs

The EVALMASTERGAN1 board is an easy-to-use and quickly customizable tool to evaluate the features of the MASTERGAN1 and quickly create new topologies without the need for a complete PCB design.

The EVALMASTERGAN1 provides an integrated programmable dead-time generator with a single VCC supply (typ. 6 V). An integrated linear voltage regulator provides a 3.3 V rail to power low voltage logic circuits such as microcontrollers or FPGA. Some spare footprints are also included to customize the board for the final application. These customizations include: Use of a separate input signal or a single PWM signal, use of an external bootstrap diode, separate supply for VCC, PVCC or Vbo and also the use of a low-side shunt resistor for peak current topologies. All pins of the MASTERGAN1 are accessible.

The EVALMASTERGAN1 is a 56 x 70 mm wide FR-4 PCB that yields an Rth(J-A) of 35 °C/W without forced ventilation.
