The Homematic IP switchable socket is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and enables flexible control of electrical devices via time profiles, manually directly on the device or via the Homematic IP app. For commissioning, the switching socket simply needs to be plugged into a socket and added to the Homematic IP system. The compact intermediate plug can be used to control an electric heater as well as to switch another electrical consumer such as a floor lamp. Within the Homematic IP room climate solution, the switch socket works smartly with the Homematic IP wall thermostat. So if an electric heater is used, the switchable socket can be used to precisely control the room temperature. Despite the high switching capacities of up to 3000 watts, the compact intermediate plug does not block any surrounding sockets. Due to the low standby power consumption of less than 0.2 watts, the adapter plug can remain in the socket without hesitation.
