The FiberMASTER light source (850/1300/1310/1550 nm) can be used in conjunction with the level meter or OTDRs to directly measure cable attenuation as well as the output power of optical components for fault diagnosis, and used with the fiber inspection microscope to capture images of the fiber end faces in the connectors at both fiber ends.

The light source is equipped with a touch screen for greater ease of use, lithium polymer battery for 10 hours of operation, USB port, and a rugged housing and protected connectors to prevent damage.
