The NeoPixel Jewel RGBW (Warm White) packs seven ultra-bright, individually addressable LEDs into a compact, elegant round board, delivering rich colour and clean white light from a single control pin.

Be the belle of the ball with the NeoPixel Jewel RGBW — a compact, elegant board packed with smart LEDs for eye-catching lighting effects. This is the RGBW Warm White version, combining red, green, blue, and a dedicated white LED for richer colour mixing and more natural whites. Other variants are also available in Natural White, Cool White, and RGB-only options. Each NeoPixel is split into two sections: the familiar RGB LED, and a white LED with a yellow phosphor. When unlit, it resembles an egg yolk; when powered, it delivers impressively bright output with 8-bit PWM control per channel, giving 32-bit colour depth per LED. This makes it ideal for projects that need vibrant colours alongside clean white light. Seven tiny 5050 (5 × 5 mm) smart RGBW NeoPixels are arranged on a beautifully round PCB with mounting holes, creating a compact, chainable design that’s both practical and visually striking. Each LED includes its own driver chip with approximately 18 mA constant-current drive, ensuring consistent colour even if the supply voltage varies. No external resistors are required, keeping designs neat and slim. The board is powered from 5 V DC (with a working range of 4–7 V). Like all NeoPixels, the Jewel uses the 800 kHz single-wire protocol, which requires precise timing. The built-in PWM runs at around 400 Hz, which works well for most uses, though fast-moving applications may show some flicker compared to DotStar LEDs with higher PWM rates. Multiple Jewels can be daisy-chained by connecting the output of one board to the input of the next, all controlled from a single microcontroller pin. Because of the timing-sensitive protocol, a real-time microcontroller is required, such as an AVR, Arduino, PIC, or mbed. Linux-based systems and interpreted microcontrollers are not suitable. An 8 MHz or faster processor is recommended. The NeoPixel Jewel is fully supported by the Adafruit NeoPixel Arduino library, with ports available for other platforms. Each unit ships as a fully assembled and tested round PCB with 7 individually addressable RGBW LEDs, ready to add sparkle to your next project.
