The manufacturer Pekaway's aim with this power supply unit was to use the 12 V on-board voltage already present, but also to provide an aesthetic solution without having to see a huge visible power supply unit. If you install it now, all you can see is a simple USB-C socket and nothing of the ultimately permanently installed power supply unit.

Please note Even if the charger has a very low standby current, it is advisable to fit it with a switch so that it is only switched on when in use.
