Wi-Fi 7 and Smart Home - the next generation on the cable connection

With the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable, AVM is launching the first all-in-one router for cable connections with Wi-Fi 7 and Zigbee. Wi-Fi 7 is faster and significantly more efficient: the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable masters multiple parallel applications such as 4K streams, video conferences and cloud applications effortlessly. A particular highlight is the integration of the Zigbee wireless standard for a versatile smart home. The integrated DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem for ultra-fast gigabit speeds is suitable for all cable connections. Innovative WLAN mesh functions and a telephone system for cordless phones round off the portfolio of the new FRITZ!Box Cable. It also has an integrated TV tuner, which enables the TV signal to be streamed in the home network via Wi-Fi.

The new Wi-Fi 7 WLAN generation The FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable brings the high Wi-Fi speed of Wi-Fi 7 to the cable connection. The new Wi-Fi 7 standard offers advantages on the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency bands already in use and provides high-performance Wi-Fi Mesh. The combination of low latency and high throughput enables high-performance wireless communication for future real-time applications such as virtual reality, cloud computing and gaming. And current applications also benefit from faster connections, even over long distances and for many mobile devices.

Smart Home - control center via DECT ULE and Zigbee, prepared for Matter The FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable makes it easy to integrate Zigbee LED lamps and DECT ULE lamps from various manufacturers into the FRITZ!Box smart home and control them via app. The integration of Matter, the new IP-based smart home standard, is planned. This means that smart home apps from other manufacturers can control the smart products from FRITZ! centrally in their app. Smart home devices such as the FRITZ!DECT 302/301 radiator controller, the FRITZ!DECT 200/210 switchable sockets, the FRITZ!DECT 440 push-button or the FRITZ!DECT 500 LED lamp are controlled via the integrated DECT base.

Convenient telephony and versatile multimedia functions An analog telephone and up to six DECT cordless telephones (e.g. FRITZ!Fon) can be registered to the integrated telephone system. Five integrated answering machines, local and online telephone directories and numerous convenience functions round off the wide range of features. The media server distributes stored movies, music and pictures in the home network. An additional, integrated TV tuner streams up to four digital free TV programs simultaneously from the cable connection to PC, smartphone and tablet. The FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable also has additional connection options such as a 2.5 Gigabit and four Gigabit LAN ports. This makes it easy to integrate network devices such as printers and storage media into the home network.
