Ethernet module W5500 RJ-45 WoL SPI TCP/IP

The W5500 Ethernet module is based on the state-of-the-art W5500 chip, which is an embedded Ethernet controller with a hard-programmed TCP/IP stack, enabling easy Internet connectivity for embedded systems using the SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface). The W5500 chip is ideal for users needing a stable internet connection, using a single chip to implement a 10/100 TCP/IP, MAC and PHY Ethernet stack. The built-in TCP/IP stack supports TCP, UDP, IPv4, ICMP, ARP, IGMP and PPPoE protocols, which has been proven in many applications over the years. The W5500 uses 32Kb of internal buffer memory for data communication. With the W5500, users can implement Ethernet applications using simple socket programs instead of dealing with a complex Ethernet controller. Simultaneous use of 8 independent hardware sockets is possible. The supplied SPI interface facilitates integration with an external MCU, supporting speeds of up to 80 MHz and a new high-performance SPI protocol to realise high-speed network communications. To reduce power consumption, the W5500 offers WOL (Wake on LAN) and sleep mode functions.
