Battery Capacity Measurement Battery TESTER ZB2L3

Mikrobot

The Tester ZB2L3 is an essential tool for accurately assessing the condition of batteries. The meter operates over a voltage range of 4.5V to 6V provided by the micro USB port. The minimum battery voltage is 0.5V. The maximum battery capacity measurement range is 9999Ah, with a measurement accuracy of 1%. Included are 2 resistors of 7.5 Ohm and 5W, which facilitates accurate measurements. This is a functional device for monitoring and diagnostics of batteries in various applications. The ZB2L3 battery and battery capacity tester presented here is used to test batteries of the following types:

* Li-Ion

* Ni-Mh

* Ni-Cd

* Li-Pol

* Li-Fe

* Pb

The Mernik works by applying a voltage of 4.5 - 6 V via the micro USB port on the right side of the device (e.g. phone charger). The voltage of the battery under test must not exceed 15V! The minimum battery voltage is 0.5V. Specification:

* Power supply: 4.5 - 6V via micro USB

* Maximum test cell voltage: 15V

* Minimum test cell voltage: 0.5V

* Maximum cell capacity: 9999 Ah

* Included: 2x 7.5 Ohm resistors, 5W

Simplified operating instructions

* Make sure the battery is fully charged.

* Connect the battery to the tester with the positive to the terminal IN(+) and the negative to IN(-). The reverse connection will damage the module..

* Connect the supplied resistor to the R terminals.

* Connect the tester to the power supply via microUSB.

* Press the OK button until the LED lights up 3 times. With the test, it selects the discharge range itself and gives the battery voltage.

* The display shows the current voltage, the number of mAh discharged and the discharge current.

* The tester discharges the cell to a preset voltage value. In the case of automatic selection, the device itself determines the voltage to which the battery will be discharged.

* When the discharge is complete, the display shows the actual capacity of the battery.

* The measurement takes a considerable amount of time as it requires the battery to be discharged to a certain voltage.

* The + and - button is used to manually set the voltage to which the battery is to be discharged.

Discharging a battery to too low a voltage, may cause irreparable damage to the battery. Refer to the cell specification before determining the discharge voltage. Error indications on the display:

* Err1: Battery voltage exceeds 15V

* Err2: The battery voltage is lower than 0.5V

* Err3: Battery does not permit load or discharge current too high

* Err4: Discharge current exceeds 3.1A
