The DDCP-Link offers users and network managers an easy way to protect expensive and mobile IT equipment with a LAN connection from damage. If the mobile IT equipment is moved in a larger radius than the connected RJ45 connection cable allows, the DDCP-Link releases the connection from a certain tensile force and protects the expensive circuit boards of the IT equipment from damage such as torn out contacts or loss of the RJ45 socket for the network connection.

Expensive repairs are a thing of the past As the release force is below the standard specifications for RJ45 plugs and sockets in accordance with IEC 60603-7, it is ensured that the connection between the RJ45 connection cable and the DDCP link is released first. Nevertheless, the DDCP offers sufficient insertion and withdrawal forces to prevent unintentional release of the connection at low tensile forces.

Plug and play The DDCP can be easily integrated into existing structures, e.g. by plugging it between the telecommunications connection box, connection cable and in front of the active device.
