* Older TCP irons were supplied with a PTAA7 (370°C) soldering tip and can accept any of the PT series tips

* Older TCP irons can be adapted to take LT series tips by buying an adaptor

* Newer TCP irons can be adapted to take PT series tips by removing the adaptor and buying a suitable barrel, 85-5504
