ST L7805CD2T-TR Voltage Regulator 5V 1A D2PAK

This device from ST is the surface mount version of the successful 7800 series of fixed voltage regulators. Employing internal current limiting, thermal shut-down and safe area protection this device can, with adequate thermal management, deliver over 1A output current.

This regulator can provide local on-card regulation, eliminating the distribution problems associated with single point regulation. In addition, although designed primarily as a fixed voltage regulator, this device can be used with external components to obtain adjustable voltages and currents.
