SparkFun Triple Axis Digital Accelerometer Breakout - ADXL313 (Qwiic)

The SparkFun ADXL313 Breakout is a compact, low power, high resolution 3-axis accelerometer, capable of measuring up to ±4g. Engineered for tilt-sensing applications, it can accurately measure static acceleration of gravity, as well as dynamic acceleration from motion or shock. The digital output data, formatted as 16-bit two's complement, can be conveniently accessed through the on-board Qwiic connectors (I2C) or SPI.The ADXL313 Breakout stands out for its high resolution and low noise, offering resolution of inclination changes as minute as 0.1°. With its built-in FIFO, it can use oversampling techniques to improve resolution to an impressive 0.025° of inclination. The 32-level FIFO also helps store data to reduce host processor intervention, thereby minimizing system power consumption. The device's low power modes enable smart motion-based power management with threshold sensing and active acceleration measurement at extremely low power dissipation.Setting up the ADXL313 Qwiic breakout is a breeze. Just connect the accelerometer to your preferred Qwiic development board using the Qwiic connector for power and communication, and you're ready to go. The ADXL313 from Analog Devices is perfect for various applications, including car alarms, hill start aid (HSA) systems, electronic parking brakes, and data recorders (black boxes).The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is a comprehensive ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables designed to make prototyping quicker and less error-prone.
