SparkFun Pressure Sensor - BMP384 (Qwiic)

The SparkFun Qwiic Pressure Sensor BMP384 is a high-resolution, gel-filled sensor from Bosch Sensortec. It is capable of taking precise measurements up to 24-bit and is resistant to liquids such as water and various chemicals. However, it is important to note that the sensor is not waterproof and requires proper integration for use in wet or humid conditions. The BMP384 sensor is versatile, providing accurate readings across a broad measurement range (300hPa to 1250hPa and -40 to +85°C). It fits perfectly on a Qwiic Standard size footprint of approximately 2.54cm x 2.54cm. The sensor comes with a configurable oversampling setting, a FIFO buffer to store up to 73 measurements, and a low pass filter. This allows customization of performance based on the demands of the application. The Qwiic Pressure Sensor communicates over I2C by default and uses the Qwiic system for easy, solder-free connections. However, for those who prefer, 2.54mm spaced pins are also available for use with a breadboard, and the BMP384 supports SPI communication.The BMP384 sensor offers three operating modes: Sleep Mode, Normal Mode, and Forced Mode. In Sleep Mode, the sensor is idle, consuming approximately 2µA. In Normal Mode, the sensor alternates between measurement and standby periods, with a peak current draw of around 700µA during measurements. Forced Mode gives direct control of measurements, allowing the sensor to wake from Sleep Mode, take a single-shot measurement, and then return to Sleep Mode.The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is a network of I2C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables that facilitate faster and more accurate prototyping. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector. This not only minimizes the required PCB space but also ensures correct connections thanks to its polarized design.Features:
